Engaging With Muslim Communities Around the World

Hearing Before the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee

In his inaugural address, President Obama stated, "To the Muslim world, [Americans] seek a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect." On February 26, 2009, Dalia Mogahed, Executive Director of the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies, presented Gallup Poll findings to the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations at the "Engaging With Muslim Communities Around the World" hearing. Ms. Mogahed's analysis of Gallup Poll findings will help initiate conversations and guide the debate aimed at improving relations between the Muslim and Western worlds.
