DOHA, QATAR -- The Executive Director of Gallup's Center for Muslim Studies, Dalia Mogahed, and Senior Analyst Ahmed Younis shared Gallup's intelligence on bridging the Muslim-West divide with key political, business, media, academia and civic leaders in Doha, Qatar, on February 16-18.
The three-day U.S.-Islamic World Forum, which has become the foremost meeting for positive cross-cultural engagement among U.S. and Muslim world leaders, opened with a polling roundtable, in which Mogahed presented Gallup's data on Americans' opinions of Muslims. In the second session, Younis led a workshop on how Muslim minority leaders can bridge the divide between appearing "authentically" Muslim and remaining integrated into the West.
